New heart attack treatment aims to heal faster with fewer bleeding risks

NCT ID NCT05785897

Summary

This study is for people who have just had a major heart attack (STEMI) and received a stent to open a blocked artery. It is testing if a new type of stent, designed to help the artery heal faster, works well when patients take only one blood-thinner instead of the usual two. The goal is to see if this simpler medication plan is as safe and effective at preventing future heart problems while reducing the risk of serious bleeding.
