New hope for hip fracture patients: could a simple pill combo stop deadly heart attacks?

NCT ID NCT07228663

Summary

This study is testing if a combination of two common blood-thinning medications (rivaroxaban and aspirin) can better prevent heart attacks and blood clots in patients who have had hip fracture surgery and show signs of heart injury. It will involve 100 patients aged 45 and older. The goal is to see if a larger future trial is feasible and to gather early information on whether this approach is safe and effective compared to standard care.
