New hope for heart attack recovery: drug aims to shield Micro-Vessels

NCT ID NCT07380919

Summary

This study is testing if a drug called ranolazine can help protect the smallest blood vessels in the heart after a major heart attack. It involves 100 patients who have had a severe heart attack and still have other significant blockages. Researchers will compare patients taking ranolazine on top of standard care against those receiving standard care alone to see if it improves blood flow in these tiny vessels and reduces future heart damage.
