New heart scan aims to improve survival after heart attacks
NCT ID NCT07422688
Summary
This study is testing whether using a detailed, high-resolution imaging scan called Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) during emergency heart attack treatment leads to better long-term results for patients. It will compare OCT-guided procedures to the current standard method that uses X-ray angiography alone. The goal is to see if the more detailed imaging helps doctors make better treatment decisions, potentially reducing future heart problems, strokes, or death.
