Race against time: does faster heart imaging save lives after a heart attack?
NCT ID NCT07002164
Summary
This study aims to find the best time to perform a coronary angiography (a procedure to image the heart's arteries) in patients who have a specific type of heart attack that also causes sudden, severe heart failure. Researchers will compare doing the procedure immediately (within 2 hours) versus waiting until the patient's heart failure symptoms have stabilized. The goal is to see which timing leads to fewer deaths, repeat heart attacks, or hospitalizations for heart failure over the following year.
