Could dropping aspirin be safer for heart attack patients?

NCT ID NCT07257198

Summary

This study is testing if taking just one blood-thinning drug (ticagrelor) is better than the standard two-drug combo (ticagrelor plus aspirin) for people who have had a heart attack and are being treated with medication alone. It aims to see if the single drug reduces the risk of serious bleeding without increasing the risk of another heart attack, stroke, or death. The trial will involve over 2,500 participants and follow them for 12 months.
