Genetic test could prevent dangerous bleeding in heart attack survivors

NCT ID NCT05577988

Summary

This study aims to find a safer long-term treatment for people who have had a heart attack and are at high risk of bleeding. Researchers are testing if using a quick genetic test to guide the choice of a milder blood-thinning drug can reduce serious bleeding events just as effectively as stronger drugs. The trial will involve over 2,400 participants across multiple centers.
