Summary

This study tested whether adding the diabetes drug dapagliflozin improves recovery and prevents future heart problems in people with type 2 diabetes who recently had a heart attack. It involved 143 participants who received either the drug or a placebo. Researchers measured future heart events, heart failure rates, and markers of inflammation to see if the drug provided protection.
