Chilling heart arteries could save muscle after heart attacks

Summary
This study tests whether cooling the heart's arteries with cold saline during a standard heart attack procedure can prevent additional damage that sometimes occurs when blood flow is restored. Researchers will compare this cold therapy approach against standard treatment in 60 people having a major heart attack. The goal is to see if the cooling reduces the final size of the heart injury and improves recovery.
