Heart artery showdown: balloon vs. stent for hardened plaque
NCT ID NCT07277114
Summary
This study aims to see if a drug-coated balloon works as well as a drug-coated stent for treating severely hardened heart arteries. Researchers will compare the two treatments in about 656 people after the hard plaque is first broken up. They will track heart-related problems and artery health over one year to see which approach is better.
