Heart scan study aims to improve artery blockage detection
NCT ID NCT07176585
Summary
This study tested whether detailed ultrasound images of plaque inside heart arteries could accurately diagnose a condition where the heart muscle isn't getting enough blood (functional myocardial ischemia). Researchers compared the ultrasound measurements against a standard pressure test in 105 patients with coronary artery disease. The goal was to see if this imaging method could be a useful diagnostic tool.
