Summary
This study compares two approaches for treating hard calcium deposits in heart arteries before placing a stent. Researchers are testing whether using a rotational drill plus shockwave therapy works better than shockwave therapy alone for certain types of calcium. The trial involves 120 patients with significant coronary artery disease and calcium buildup who need a stent procedure.
