Shockwave therapy tested to unclog calcified heart arteries

NCT ID NCT07340294

Summary

This study is testing if adding a new shockwave therapy to the standard procedure for opening hardened, calcified heart arteries leads to better long-term results for patients. It will compare two groups: one receiving the standard treatment and one receiving the standard treatment plus the shockwave therapy. The goal is to see if the combined approach reduces future heart problems related to the treated artery over two years.
