Can a simple hearing aid help protect your brain?
NCT ID NCT07288463
Summary
This small pilot study is checking if over-the-counter hearing aids are a practical and acceptable option for older adults who have a genetic risk for dementia and mild-to-moderate hearing loss. It will enroll 20 people aged 50+ to see if they can and will use the devices regularly. The main goal is to gather information to design a larger future study on whether easier access to hearing care might support brain health.
