VA tests hearing amplifiers in ER to cut return visits

Summary
This VA study is testing whether giving simple, personal hearing amplifiers to veterans with hearing difficulty during emergency room visits helps them hear and understand their discharge instructions better. The goal is to see if this small help can reduce the chance they need to return to the ER shortly after leaving. The study will also check if hospital staff can successfully run this program on their own.
