Summary
This study tested a smartphone app called HearCare MED-EL that lets people with cochlear implants adjust their audio processor and check for device problems remotely. 120 adults who already had a MED-EL implant for at least 3 months took part. The goal was to see if the app works safely and reliably for managing hearing devices without needing an in-person visit.
