Summary
This study is testing whether providing money specifically for healthy food purchases during pregnancy helps prevent excessive weight gain and related complications like gestational diabetes and high blood pressure. Researchers will enroll 1,440 pregnant women and randomly assign half to receive standard nutrition counseling and the other half to receive the same counseling plus grocery money. The goal is to see if this direct food support leads to healthier pregnancy outcomes.
