First seen Jan 02, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looked at blood and bone marrow samples from 102 healthy volunteers aged 18 to 85 to see how age affects oxidative stress—a natural process in cells. Researchers measured reactive oxygen species and antioxidant gene activity to create a baseline for future studies on blood diseases. Participants were healthy adults without a history of blood disorders, cancer, or inflammatory conditions.
