New study aims to boost healthcare access for adults with disabilities

Summary

This study tests whether adding a health education and coaching program to Special Olympics activities helps adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities get better healthcare. About 1,040 athletes and their care partners will take part. The goal is to see if this extra support helps them reach their personal health goals and visit the doctor more regularly.
