First seen May 02, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tested a program to help teenagers ages 13 to 16 make healthier choices about eating and exercise. The program added a health literacy module—teaching teens how to find and use health information—to an existing obesity prevention program. Researchers wanted to see if this approach could improve healthy eating, increase physical activity, and reduce unhealthy behaviors like eating junk food and being sedentary.
