New injection challenges standard treatment for Spinal-Tap headaches

NCT ID NCT06790745

Summary

This study compared two procedures for treating severe headaches that can occur after spinal anesthesia. Researchers tested a newer injection using a patient's own processed blood (plasma-rich fibrin) against the standard treatment (an epidural blood patch). The goal was to see which method provided better and longer-lasting pain relief for 60 adult participants.
