Nose drops vs. bed rest: new hope for debilitating spinal headaches?
NCT ID NCT07494383
Summary
This small pilot study compared two ways to treat a severe headache that can happen if the needle accidentally goes too deep during an epidural. Researchers tested if a simple nasal treatment with numbing medicine worked better than the usual approach of bed rest and extra fluids. The main goal was to see if a larger study was possible, while also checking which method gave faster pain relief to 26 patients.
