Daily pill tested to stop frequent headaches before they start
NCT ID NCT07359248
Summary
This study is testing whether a daily medication called Desvenlafaxine can help prevent frequent tension headaches in adults. Over 400 participants with frequent episodic headaches will take either the real drug or a placebo pill for 12 weeks to see if it reduces how many headache days they have and how severe the pain is. The goal is to see if this medication can be an effective long-term option for controlling this common type of headache.
