First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study looked at whether follow-up phone calls from a headache nurse help people with chronic headaches take their preventive medicine as prescribed. 147 adults with migraine, tension-type headache, cluster headache, or hemicrania continua were randomly assigned to nurse calls or usual care with their general practitioner. The study was terminated early, so results are limited.
