New injection therapy could tame 'Suicide Headaches'
NCT ID NCT05324748
Summary
This study is testing whether repeated steroid injections around a nerve at the back of the head can help prevent the severe, recurring pain attacks of chronic cluster headache. Researchers are comparing the injections to a placebo in 50 patients to see if they provide longer-lasting control of attacks. The goal is to determine if this safe, low-cost treatment can become a standard option for people living with this debilitating condition.
