Could two common drugs ease painful side effects for cancer survivors?
NCT ID NCT03723291
Summary
This study tested if adding two drugs, pentoxifylline and vitamin E, to standard physical exercises could help people who have long-term jaw stiffness or trouble swallowing after radiotherapy for head and neck cancer. It was a small, early-stage study with 50 participants to see if a larger trial would be possible. The main goal was to check if people would join the study and if the treatment plan was safe and practical to carry out.
