NIH launches massive biobank to unlock secrets of hearing and voice disorders

Summary
This study aims to create a large collection of biological samples to help scientists better understand disorders affecting hearing, balance, voice, speech, and swallowing. Researchers will collect leftover tissue from medical procedures, plus blood, saliva, and cheek swabs from up to 1,000 participants of all ages who have these conditions. The samples will be stored in a bank and used for future research to develop better diagnostic tests and treatments.
