Early trial tests new drug mixes to shrink tumors before surgery

NCT ID NCT05459129

Summary

This early-phase study tested different combinations of immunotherapy and chemotherapy drugs in patients with advanced head and neck cancer that could be surgically removed. The goal was to see if these treatments given before surgery could shrink or even eliminate the tumor. The trial was small, enrolling only 12 patients, and ended early, so no firm conclusions could be drawn about which combination worked best.
