Doctors test 'Paint-by-Numbers' radiation to fight tough head and neck cancers
NCT ID NCT06297902
Summary
This study is comparing a new, more targeted radiation technique to standard radiation for head and neck cancer. It aims to see if the new method, which uses a PET scan to guide higher radiation doses to the most active parts of the tumor, is as safe as the standard approach. The main goal is to check if it causes fewer severe mouth sores and side effects one year after treatment.
