New scan aims to spot hidden damage from cancer radiation
NCT ID NCT06914999
Summary
This study is testing whether a new type of PET/CT scan can better detect damage to neck blood vessels caused by radiation therapy for head and neck cancers. Researchers will compare the new scan to the standard scan in about 20 patients before and after their radiation treatment. The goal is to learn more about this side effect to potentially improve future care, not to treat the cancer itself.
