Could a simple tilt save more brain after a stroke?

NCT ID NCT07172789

Summary

This study is testing if placing a patient with a major stroke in a head-down position before a surgical procedure to remove a blood clot can lead to better recovery. Researchers believe this simple positioning might protect more brain tissue while waiting for surgery, potentially reducing disability. The trial will enroll 210 adults with severe strokes to compare outcomes between those placed head-down and those in a standard position.
