First seen Mar 28, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study is for pregnant women who have had a first-time HCMV infection early in pregnancy. Researchers want to find out if certain immune system markers can predict whether the virus will be passed to the baby. They will take blood samples and analyze immune cells, but no new treatments or vaccines are being tested. The goal is to better understand how to protect unborn babies from this common infection.
