Heart MRI dye may predict deadly risks in genetic heart condition
NCT ID NCT07054073
First seen Mar 19, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study follows up on people with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), a genetic condition that thickens the heart muscle and can lead to dangerous heart rhythms or heart failure. Researchers want to see if a substance called Gadolinium, which shows up on heart MRI scans, can predict future heart problems. The study will re-scan about 314 participants from an earlier research project to track changes over at least 7 years.
