Tracking hidden heart damage to predict sudden death risk
NCT ID NCT07054073
Summary
This study follows people with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) for at least 7 years to understand how heart muscle scarring affects their health. Researchers are re-imaging 314 patients who participated in an earlier study to see if certain patterns on heart scans predict serious problems like sudden cardiac death or heart failure. The goal is to identify which patients need closer monitoring or different treatments.
