New hope for IVF? hormone shot aims to boost egg count in tough cases
NCT ID NCT07108621
Summary
This study is testing whether giving women with low ovarian reserve a low-dose hormone (hCG) injection daily for eight weeks before their second IVF/ICSI treatment helps them produce more eggs. The researchers are comparing the hormone to a placebo (saltwater) injection in 80 women to see if it makes a meaningful difference. The main goal is to see if the hormone treatment increases the number of eggs doctors can retrieve for fertilization.
