NCT ID NCT07241962
First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study will screen 1,000 Chinese adults aged 18 to 50 living in Milan for hepatitis B and C using rapid finger-prick tests. Participants get counseling in Italian or Chinese, fill out a short questionnaire, and receive results the same day. The goal is to see if culturally tailored screening in public spaces like Chinatown can catch more undiagnosed infections and improve awareness.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only โ not medical advice or a prediction.
- What this could lead to
- If successful, this could show that community-based screening with language support finds more hidden hepatitis cases and improves public health outreach.
- What could go wrong
- This is an observational study, not a treatment trial. It only measures detection rates and satisfaction, so it won't directly cure or treat anyone.
