Finger-Prick test for concussions? new device aims for quicker diagnosis

NCT ID NCT05588115

Summary

This study is testing a new handheld biosensor that measures a specific brain protein (GFAP) in the blood of adults who have a concussion. Researchers want to see if this quick, portable device is as accurate as the current, more expensive lab test. They will also check if the protein levels measured by the device relate to a person's concussion symptoms over time.
