Stroke recovery boost: mixing touch and movement exercises restores hand function

NCT ID NCT07590245

First seen May 20, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tested whether adding sensory exercises (like touch and feel) to standard motor training helps stroke survivors regain hand function. 81 participants were split into three groups: sensory only, motor only, or combined training. The combined group showed the best improvements in hand strength, dexterity, and reaction time, suggesting that mixing both approaches may boost recovery.
