A simple touch to calm surgery nerves
NCT ID NCT07296679
Summary
This study tested whether a simple hand massage could help reduce anxiety and increase comfort for patients about to undergo weight-loss surgery. Researchers compared 90 patients who received a hand massage before their procedure to those who received only standard care. They measured anxiety and comfort levels using standard questionnaires to see if the massage made a difference.
