Could your hand arthritis predict your knee pain?
NCT ID NCT01805349
Summary
This study aimed to understand if having arthritis in the fingers (digital osteoarthritis) is linked to more severe or faster-progressing arthritis in the hips or knees. Researchers followed 479 adults aged 40-75 who already had symptomatic hip or knee arthritis. They collected X-rays and clinical data over time to look for connections between arthritis in different joints.
