Simpler anesthesia for surgery? study tests removing common additive

NCT ID NCT07342010

Summary

This study aims to find out if a simpler local anesthesia mixture works just as well as a more complex one for patients having outpatient hand or foot surgery. Researchers will compare two versions of the numbing medicine—one with an added ingredient (bicarbonate) and one without—to see if patients recover just as comfortably the next day. The goal is to confirm if a simpler, ready-to-use medicine is safe and effective, making the process easier for surgeons without harming patient comfort.
