Ancient steam bath put to the test against modern massage for stress relief

NCT ID NCT06788041

Summary

This study aimed to see if a traditional Hammam (steam bath) experience is better than a massage or a placebo at improving general health and reducing feelings of chronic stress. Researchers measured stress, mood, sleep, and physical markers in 22 healthy adults after each experience. They tested whether the Hammam provided stronger or longer-lasting benefits for well-being.
