No-Drill dental crowns for Kids' cavities put to the test

NCT ID NCT05220865

Summary

This study compared two simple, drill-free methods for treating deep cavities in children's baby molars. 268 healthy children aged 3-12 received either the standard Hall technique (placing a metal crown over the cavity without cleaning it out) or a modified version (removing some soft decay first). Researchers tracked which technique worked better at keeping the tooth healthy and pain-free over 12 months of check-ups.
