New leukemia treatment aims to reduce harsh side effects

Summary
This study is testing whether a newer combination of targeted drugs causes fewer serious side effects than the current standard chemotherapy treatment for hairy cell leukemia. Researchers will enroll 86 adults who haven't received any prior treatment for their cancer. They'll compare both the safety and effectiveness of the two different drug approaches over six months.
