Cleveland clinic tests new supplement to fight muscle loss in liver disease
NCT ID NCT05018481
Summary
This early-stage study is testing whether a supplement called HA35 can help people with alcoholic hepatitis. Over 90 days, 54 participants will take either HA35 or a placebo pill while researchers measure changes in muscle mass, gut health, and overall condition. The goal is to see if HA35 can help control the disease by protecting against muscle loss, a common and serious complication.
