First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study tested whether a two-drug regimen (vonoprazan plus either amoxicillin or doxycycline) works as well as the standard four-drug therapy for eradicating H. pylori, a bacteria that can cause stomach ulcers. About 579 adults with H. pylori infection took one of three 14-day treatments. The goal was to see which approach is safest, most effective, and easiest for patients to complete.
