First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study looked at how certain immune cells (regulatory and effector T cells) are involved in graft-versus-host disease (GVHD), a common complication after a stem cell transplant from a donor. Researchers analyzed blood and tissue samples from 146 patients and their family donors to understand why GVHD happens. The goal was to gather knowledge that could lead to better ways to prevent GVHD in the future.
