NCT ID NCT07306988
First seen Dec 29, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looks at whether treating Helicobacter pylori (Hp) infection can also help improve metabolic syndrome—a group of conditions like high blood sugar, unhealthy cholesterol, and excess belly fat. About 120 adults with both Hp infection and newly diagnosed metabolic syndrome will receive standard Hp treatment alone or with added probiotics or berberine. Researchers will check changes in gut bacteria, blood sugar, cholesterol, and waist size one month after treatment to see if these additions offer extra benefits.
