First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looks at how quickly and how long gut bacteria change when healthy adults take a fiber called chicory inulin. Over 13 weeks, 52 participants will take either inulin or a placebo and provide stool and blood samples. The goal is to understand individual differences in gut microbiome response, not to treat any disease.
