First seen Feb 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study looks at how gut bacteria might influence stress in children with autism or those who have faced tough experiences. Researchers will collect stool samples, track eye movements, and measure stress hormones in saliva from 75 children aged 4-7. The goal is to understand the connection between the gut and brain, not to test a new treatment.
